It Prevails – Placed In My Hands 1

I can truly feel the abandon, standing in this world that you've left me in.

I can see you staring back through the doorway, your eyes look brighter
than the day that the light of the world first touched them.

Without love we
live for what? We live for nothing. And you, reached out to me. But you were
reaching for anything. Or anyone. At any given point in time. Pieces of you,
will always be missing now

Even on the most beautiful days,
Pieces of our
lives are slipping away, through our fingertips they will erase.
Cope and
accept, keep yourself sane.
Every single day I manage to survive, the world
gives me the gift of being alive. I am here, thankful.

I am understanding
more, the pieces are being placed in my hands. I will always have
them.

We'll all face the time and place, will we be ready when it's
here?

As the world mistakes, the beauty will decay, in disarray.I will no
longer sit back and let the pieces fall to the ground.

I will pick up the
pieces, an create my own examples for the world. And they will know my name
when I bear these stones. And I will wear them around my neck, to hang my head
and show the world that it's easier said then done.
