In a room right next to yours
Lies still a little girl
Sometimes at night she's afraid to move
Or look into the dark
Because she knows
The room is fool of monsters
And the most sinister one
Hides right under her bed
It's sinewy hands covered with dirty hair
Fumble about the floor
Searching for her little legs

She can't see them but she can
Feel their presence.

They are standing in the dark

She can almost feel a vise-like grip
Around her ankle
Lying still in bed on sheets wet with cold sweat
And she can almost smell the stench of their
Heavy breathing
She can almost see their eyes blazing with blood lust

Before going to bed
She can never decide
Whether to close the door
If leave it open the ghosts will get in
But what if they
Are already inside
She knows not whether to
Expect help from parents
Because they may be already captured by
The evil of the world
So she lies in her bed

Trembling with fear

There's one right under the table

And another one in the corner
